Murder, Mystery, Suspense Anyone?
I was talking about this to a friend the other day but she didn't have any recollection at all. I haven't found what I'm looking for online either so I'm wondering if I've dreamt the whole thing up!
When I was about 8 or 9 maybe there used to be a TV anthology series called Murder, Mystery, Suspense. At least I'm sure that's what it was called. I grew up in Britain but this series was American and I think it was shown on ITV. It was a weekly drama, shown on a weeknight, and on quite late (ie past my bedtime!) so I don't even know how I got to know about it! I think the opening credits included dark and gloomy storm clouds. I quite like such shows so I'd like to see it again but can't seem to find it.
Does anyone know which anthology series I'm…

I absolutely loved Murder, Mystery, Suspense. It was a Sunday night show, and I can remember 2 episodes - but I can not be clear of the plot. The first was about some guy and his family who lived on a farm. The guy got bitten by a rabid badger, he then proceedes to chain himself in the barn with the badger also in a cage. He tells his family that he needs to burn the barn down with him and badger inside to protect them. He also told them that he was likely to go crazy, and they should not release him even if he begs for it. Well it turns out, the badger was not rabid, and when he asked his family for help, they refused, so in the event of trying to set himself free, he knocks over the can of fuel and the barn catches fire, and he dies.
My friends - there is no way I could have made all that up - this must be real, but it’s nowhere online!!
There was another episode, I don't remember the detail, but it was a “baddie” in a coma, who could destroy things with his mind. I just remember the end, him being in bed, with an oxygen mask and hooked up to machines…he with trembling hands, writes down his next target - “Windscale”. That’s it.
I think this must have been around 1985, so I would have been around 7/8. Anyone else remember these episodes? I would love to rewatch them with my kids!
