Dear fellow nostalgiac,
A massive hi there and welcome! So glad you
found our little happy haven for kids of the
sixties all the way through to the nineties
(with a little bit of the noughties thrown in!)
If you remember Saturday morning cartoons;
all those amazing TV shows that were on during
the summer holidays, and the thrill of listening
to yourfavorite pop hits on the radio while
taping the Top Forty on a Sunday afternoon,
then you’ve come to the right place. (Although
admittedly the latter was very naughty! But
come on - we all did it!)
And talking of the day of rest, do you remember when Sunday used to be the most boring day of the week? If only we knew then that what we mistook for ‘boring’ was actually relaxing, rejuvenating and a great time to reconnect with family and friends. A far cry from our frantic, fast-paced lives today.
If only we’d appreciated it more, right?
We are grateful for all the wonderful things that modern-day living brings (we wouldn’t have this site for a start if it wasn’t for today's modern-day tech!) But we also believe that childhood memories are way more than just a lost part of our past - they’re a great source of joy and can serve as inspiration for our present. We feel that all that is good about the past should be celebrated and never forgotten. So we celebrate anything and everything that made our childhoods and young adulthoods rock.
