It's Chriiiiiist-maaaaasssss!
It's that time of year when it's all about the festive hits and now is the only time of the year to play them to your hearts content. As a kid, December was all about the race to be Christmas number one, and a lot of those hits - whether they reached the top spot or not - have become pop Christmas classics which we can listen to year after year and never get bored of it. In fact it doesn't seem like Christmas unless we hear them.
So what are the must-listen-tos on your Christmas playlist? Just off the top of my head and in no particular order, mine are:
Last Christmas - Wham!
Do They Know it's Christmas - First two versions. Don't care for the others!
Merry Chsristmas Everybody - Slade
Step into Christmas - Elton John
I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday - Wizzard
Please Come Home For Christmas - Eagles
Christmas just isn't Christmas without those Christmas classics! I like quite a lot from your list but I would add to that Queen's Thank God it's Christmas, The Darkness's Christmastime, and Bruce Springsteens' Santa Clause Is Comin' To Town. My husband is an amazing singer and I love hearing him sing Driving Home For Christmas by Chris Rea so that's another must have.
