Alot of people are introducing themselves on here so I figured I might as well also. I'm a wife, twin mom and fur mom in my mid thirties. I'm from Washington state but I've spent most of my life in Oregon where I still live with my family. I was born in the eighties but when I see people wearing shirts that say 'Born in the 90s' damn, that really makes me feel old! But I did grow up in the nineties and that was a real special time and the decade when I went from being an only child to an older sister. So my sister can wear those Born in the 90s shirts! LOL.
The 2000s were also a great decade. I met my best friend, went to college, got my first job working for the state, and met the love of my life. But the 2010s, well that was when I became a homeowner, a wife and mom so so far, that has been the best.
Really glad I found this space. It's been awesome learning about stuff from another country and different decades but if I could make a suggestion, I do hope they'll review more stuff from nineties America.
Wow! There's alot of people on here representing for the PNW! That's really cool. I'm also from WA and I live in Seattle. Welcome Marshmallowgirl. 💖
And hi from another Washington state girl! 😊
Hey everyone. I feel I need to apologise. I don't get to go on NP all that often and somehow I completely missed a lot of these really sweet messages to my own post! So I'm really sorry but thank you for all the welcoming comments. 😘
I'm going to be 50 this year so you telling me that you were born in the 1980s has made me feel really old! And to think you're complaining about it! 😉
A born in the seventies girl over here! 😁Helloooo Marshmallow girl!
I could legitimately wear a Born in the Nineties T-shirt. If only I had one! Haha! If you're in your mid-thirties youre not much older than me, so don't feel old! haha!
My bestie! ❤️
Cool name! Hello Marshmallowgirl!
Hey there Marshmallowgirl!
I'm an 80s baby too. Born 1986. And even though I'm originally from MT I now live in WA. I moved out here for college and I've been here ever since. It seems like only yesterday - except it wasn't! 😛So it's definitely home to me now. It's a great place to live and while it's great that you're enjoying life in the Beaver State hopefully you'll come back and visit someday. 😃
If born in the nineties tops make you feel old, then you can only imagine how I feel! And while the 2000s were definitely not part of my childhood or teen years, it's one of my fave decades as it's the one where I met and married my husband, started my business and bought our first home together.
Such happy days! 😊
I was born in the nineties but I promise I won't make you feel old! I missed the eighties by a year so I'm envious of you that you got to witness such a cool decade. I visited Oregon many years ago. I have visited America over the years as I have family there. Great place.
Welcome!
Hello Miss Marshamallowgal! Thank you for joining us here and for your lovely introduction. We actually have a few people here from the Pacific North-West, and I, myself, visited a few times before the man and I got married, and I lived there for a very short time after our wedding. I have very fond memories of that time and hope to visit OR again one day.
And yes, those "Made in the nineties" T-shirts really do make some of us feel prehistoric! But it's worth it to have lived through some awesome decades! 😊
