I been on this forum for a while now so why did I never think to introduce myself properly to all you lovely people?
Anyways, my name's Judy, I'm on the wrong side of forty but nowt I can do about that (I've been told I don't look it so if that's true then that's a good thing!) I'm originally from Manchester in England but now live in Australia with my partner and our two kids. So everyone in our household is an Aussie except for me. Even the dog! 😂
I was born in 1979 and being born right at the end of the seventies is weird because you're not really considered a child of the seventies (as you don't have any memories of the decade) and you aren't considered an eighties child either as that title seems to be reserved for those who were actually born in that decade. So what the heck am I???
I left Manchester in the late nineties to go to uni and then spent a few years in London before coming out here in my late twenties and I been here ever since.
If I had to pick one decade that I lived through that I thought were the best, that'd be dead hard. I love all those decades for different reasons. But I will give a shout out to the noughties (mainly because no-one else has!) as it were a very exciting time for me in my adult life. I'd finished uni, moved to London, started work, met a group of mates who are more like family and who I'm still in touch with, and then towards the end of the noughties I moved out here to Australia. It wasn't an easy decision to make but it turned out to be the best. I wouldn't have my lovely little family and my sun-soaked life if I didn't come out here.
And that's all folks!
OMGOMGOMG!!! What is it with this site??? 😁You're like the third person from Australia that I've found in about ten minutes!!! And the second British girl living out in Australia. I guess this site has quite an impact with Aussies huh?😀 But that's great. We can all share nostalgic memories about growing up in our respective countries! 😊
