So I watched this video and it got me wondering if anyone especially young people still go clubbing now. I was a teenager in the nineties and as soon as we were allowed into clubs that's what we did. It was a big part of British youth culture. I enjoyed my time clubbing even though it wasn't something I did all the time. But every now and then I liked to go clubbing with my friends and it was always a lot of fun. But there's a lot of clubs closing and I personally don't know a whole heap of people who still go to clubs. It's sad if nobody goes anymore because I think it's something that everyone especially young people should experience. You're only young once and all that jazz.
So if people don't go clubbing anymore, then what do they do now for fun?
For me, my nightclubbing days ended long ago. But I disagree that clubbing as a social activity is on its way out. I live on mainland Europe and there definitely seems to be quite a thriving nightlife here with regards to the club scene. Whether it can be comparable to the club scene of the eighties and nineties, who really knows. The stats can do the talking for that! But even if clubbing is declining in Britain, that doesn't seem to be the case out here. And for the record, I loved my club days. But my tastes - and age - have moved on.
