This sounds like a rather odd question so let me explain.
I was reading some youtube comments where someone got told off for using the word 'womanizer' because apparently it's so outdated and no one uses that anymore. And now that I think about it, it is so true. People will say things like 'ladies' man,' 'cheat' or player these days. There are of course more but these are just the ones I can mention. I can't remember the last time I heard someone described as a 'womanizer.'
But it got me thinking about words that we all used at one time but now seem to have vanished. Of course some of them are no longer used because it's not considered part of polite conversation any more.
One I can think of is 'lame' which we used to use when something wasn't good. I can't remember when that one died out but I think it's safe to say it will most definitely not be making a comeback for obvious reasons! And 'wicked' and 'groovy' well nobody uses them any more and they really do sound dated.
The ones that come to mind right now are things like bare, as in, that was bare rude, and we used to say breeze when someone was talking rubbish. I don't hear either of those now so they must be proper old. We also used to use a lot of American slang that I don't hear now.
