I've been busy researching Live Aid for some of our posts - and I have had an absolute whale of a time watching the event and rediscovering all those artists and tunes that we used to listen to.
And more than that I've been asking other people to share their own memories of Live Aid - whether they were actually lucky enough to be there or watching it on the telly like the rest of us. And I've loved listening to their stories which are told with a real sense of enthusiasm and nostalgia, not just about the event but also about how life and times were back then. It's made me want to climb into the nearest time machine and head back to the eighties - if only I could find one!
So it'd be interesting to hear more of your Live Aid stories and memories? Did you actually go to the gigs at Wembley or Philadelphia? Did you watch the entire event? And who were your favourite performers? Perhaps Live Aid reminds you of other cool things you had going on in your life at the time.
We'd love to hear from you!
I was only a couple of months old when Live Aid was on so unsurprisingly no memories. But I've heard my family and friends who were around at the time talk about it and they all seem to have thourughly enjoyed it.
