Hello everyone!
I'm a newish member. I signed up a little while ago but only now having a good look around this brilliant site.
If you haven't already gathered, I'm a massive New Kids On The Block fan. LOL. I have been ever since The Right Stuff was released in Britain and the whole country (well the world really) went New Kids potty! Joey has always been my favourite but I love all the guys. I've been lucky enough to have visited America many times for family holidays but have yet to visit Boston. Fingers crossed I'll get there one day but somehow I can't see the rest of my family going for it! I get teased mercilessly as it is.
I'm originally from the West Midlands in England but moved up north after my wedding. I'm definitely outnumbered in my house because not only do I live in a mostly male household (my husband and two sons) but I'm the only one who's not a northerner! But then after living here for twenty years, I suppose i have become an honorary northern lass!
I was born in 1978 which was a pretty cool time but obviously it's the 80s and 90s I have better memories of. I love pretty much everything about those decades.
Hi there joeysgirl. Welcome! x
Welcome to Nostalgia Pie, Joeysgirl! x
Hello everyone! Thank you so much for your kind messages and very warm welcome. That's so nice of you all. I think I'm going to like it here. 😊😘❤️
Hi Joeys Girl. I also used to be a huge New Kids fan when they were first around in the late eighties. Everyone was. But I have to say it, I outgrew them. But they still are great reminders of my childhood.
Hi Joeysgirl. I used to like the New Kids. But then Take That came along and that was that! So now I am very much a Thatter and my heart belongs to those five northern lads (well my husband as well but you know!)
I hope we can still be friends! 😉
Hi Joeysgirl! Welcome to the brilliant Nostalgia Pie! 😊 Hope you're loving life up north.
Hi there!
My musical tastes have changed alot over the years but just like you, I was a fan too. But I was a Donnie girl! Haha!
Good to have you here, Joeysgirl.
I've made many a visit to the West Midlands to visit family and friends. Always had great times there. And now you're an honorary northerner. Hope you've got used to us by now! Haha!
Hello darling. I'm also a 70s baby although I'm a bit older than you. But I totally agree and the 80s and 90s being great times and I have fond memories of those times. Welcome x
Hello from one mum of two to another mum of two! 😀👨👩👧👧I'm also a seventies kid myself, and like you I also have great memories of the eighties and nineties. In my opinion it was a very exciting time to be alive! 😊
I'm actually an oldish member as I joined the Nostalgia Pie forum not long after it first got going. It's a great little space that we're always happy to share with those who have happy nostalgic memories. Welcome to the forum, Joeysgirl!
Hello and welcome Joeysgirl from another newish member! 😁
Hello Joeys Girl. Nice to meet you here. I'm also a huge fan of holidaying in America, but I too have never been to Boston! Haha! Maybe one day. But my absolute fave place is NYC.
From one Blockhead to another, a very warm welcome to Nostalgia Pie! ❤️ Like you, I've been a massive fan ever since the boys released (You Got It) The Right Stuff, and while I'm a Jordan girl, I love all the New Kids! And while i don't want to come across like I'm bragging, it had always been my dream to live in New England because of the New Kids and now - here I am! I've even visited some of their old neighbourhoods and seen the William M. Trotter Elementary!
I've only ever been to the West Midlands less than a handful of times I'm afraid. But I'd definitely visit again if I could as I definitely enjoyed my visits, and would have loved to have explored more.
Welcome Joeysgirl! xx
