The 2022 Logies Awards ceremony was held a few days ago in Australia. It's not really something that makes the news over in the UK but we have heard the disgruntled mutterings regarding the tribute for Neighbours that was put on during the ceremony. And some of these complaints came from certain members of the Neighbours cast. Ryan Maloney who plays Toadie even went on radio and didn't hold back. I do agree that shoving the Neighbours cast at the back of the room where they couldn't be seen or see the stage was not particularly nice. But I don't think the tribute itself was necessarily awful.
Or have I missed something?
I also don't think it was the worst but it wasn't the best either. I've checked out the tribute they did at the British Soap Awards and that was so much better. But I'm still quite surprised by what Ryan Molone (Toadie) said in the radio interview. He sounded a bit miffed that the long time members of the cast (he being one of them) were not asked to go up on stage and say a few words. I do think that Daniel McPherson was an odd choice but I think Ryan came over a bit diva with his comments. These actors and their limelight eh!
