Will everyone miss Gail Platt?

I know she's already left but it doesn't feel like it. It's going to be a while before any of us can accept that Gail has left the building. Well the Street rather.

OMG - Richard Hillman!!!

Whether you still watch Coronation Street or not, and I don't, it would be impossible not to miss Gail. The woman is a soap legend.

Oh by 'eck, she will be. Of course she'll be missed - she's our Gail! It's so strange to think that she made her first appearance on the show when I were still in nappies. I'm really aging myself here! 😆 But she were a fantastic character. I really don't know what the Street will be like without her. One of the things I really liked was Gail scrapping with Eileen. I'll miss that for sure!

I was shocked when I heard that Helen Worth was leaving the soap. Even though I don't really watch Corrie anymore, Gail was one of the constants of my life. Haha! Always been there and you believed she always would be. But of course everything has to come to an end, and Helen has given us fifty fabulous years as Gail TILSLEY (for me anyway, so I'm really aging myself here!) Coronation Street is a very different soap to the one I first knew. And now with Gail departing Weatherfield, it's going to be all the more different. But at least there's still Ken Barlow!

But Gail/Helen will be missed for sure. How can she not be.

It's sad that Helen Worth is retiring. Well sad for viewers anyway. After fifty years, who can blame her for wanting to put her feet up? But Weatherfield is indeed going to be a very different place after she's gone.

I don't really watch Corrie any more but I know my mum still does. But Gail has been a part of the show for so long that it will definitely seem strange without her. Even though Coronation Street has been on for well over sixty years, I don't think there are many of us here who can remember a Coronation Street before Gail.
